Somerset Hockey Cup – First Round Results CLICK HERE (Updated 28th September 2016)

All affiliated clubs of Somerset Hockey Association, by default have been entered into a County Cup. There is NO Entrance Fee to the cup; it is part of a clubs County Affiliation Fee.

We hope that the “Winners” of the cup will proceed through to a potential “West – County Cup”, which will involve the “Champions” of each of the counties affiliated to West Hockey. (Competition dates in 2017 TBC.)

The Cup is to be played in the “Spirit” of a County Competition, though full league rules will apply. (The dates of the draw are final, there will always be dates a club feels are unfair, but to get this competition running we must stick to the dates. Clashes with other competitions might happen; clubs just need to prioritise players to fixtures. A club always has the option to “Hand” the fixture to the opposition if they feel they cannot accommodate the fixture.)

Draw posted on the Somerset Hockey Association Website.

(If a game is drawn there will be a “Best of 5 Penalty Flicks”/Sudden Death Flicks to decide the winning team.(No Extra Time/Golden Goal))

Dates of each round are displayed on the Somerset Hockey Association Website
