Time to Listen Courses October 2017

Time to Listen Workshops have been organised at The University of the West of England, Frenchay Campus, Bristol on Monday 30th October.  There is also a Workshop in Exeter, Devon on Tuesday 31st October if more convenient.

Time to Listen (TTL) is a three hour interactive workshop, developed by the NSPCC’s Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) which has been adapted to be specific to hockey.  ALL Club Welfare Officers should attend this workshop to update their skills and knowledge of Safeguarding in regards to hockey.  The certificate should be updated every three years in order to keep up with current legislation.

The workshop is aimed at Club Welfare Officers (CWO) and people who have a designated welfare role.  It is good practice for the CWO, or someone from the club, to attend this workshop especially if you have U18 players participating at the club.  It is recommended that a second Club Official is also trained as a deputy.

Time to Listen attendance by the CWO is a compulsory element of ClubMark accreditation

The workshop is designed to give you confidence and support in your role and there will be plenty of opportunities to talk to other Welfare Officers to share experiences and good practice.  For further details please use this link to theEH website.  The cost is £20 per delegate.

Below are the application formsJoining instructions will be forwarded on receipt of the application form and payment.
